I am trying to rebuild the beds on both of my Power Wagons, 1947 & 1954. I seem to have all info needed except what the rear of the bed looks like at the tailgate. Both trucks were missing the wood so I am unable to see how this is. Does it have a metal cap piece that covers the end grain of the wood? Or does the wood just butt up against the inside of the tailgate when it is shut? If anyone could provide a photo or a sketch of their original bed it would be greatly appreciated.
