Indeed it was a hardtop for a WW2 GMC 2-1/2 ton. The military had a bunch of them in stock, and when it was discovered they could be made to fit an M37, a contract was let to an outfit in New York State to fab the adapters and repackage the kits. I bought several of these unused in the '70s, and used them on trucks I sold. The only real problem is the gouging you will take in the back getting in before you get used to it. They are not Dodge production. DG
