1. the entire rear door system(back of truck)has been completely
removed(completely)and it may be impossible to reinstall it
on this particular truck,(I didnt look that closely at the time).
It has been replaced with metal snaps around the entire rear opening
and a large piece of canvas that attaches loosly to these snaps.
(I imagine the wind noise would be an issue)
Imagine a convertible top boot, thats about what
it is.
2. the amount of waves in the body running down the sides in certain areas
(poor body work) grabbed my attention immediately.
Although I am very picky.(please keep this in mind)
3.It has non moveable bucket seats installed into
the floor, via some tall pedastals.(no original seats here)
4. I believe a good portion of the interior is black
diamond tuck and roll(cant quite recall).
5.Orange spray paint was applied to the flat six engine
and the grease that was on the engine.(needless to say
it needs to be stripped and redone).
6.Remember!!! I'm very picky and critical
THE PRO'S
1.Everything mechanicaly on this truck was redone
and working well(although it was about 2-3 years
last time I saw it moving around on a daily basis)
so your looking at few if any problems mechanicaly
2.The way this truck is set up, It looks awesome
from about 15-20 feet(the bf goodrich tires give
this truck a great look)
3.The truck is painted forest green and black
two tone(my favorite color combo)good choice
of color, your neighbors would not call the tow truck
on this one.
4.the headlights are there(they've been chromed, but
that shouldnt be an issue)
IN SUMMATION
If the provisions for the rear hatch assembly and
front seat assembly are in tact, and someone is
able to find the complete assemblies(EVERY LITTLE
HINGE AND BOLT FOLKS)for both those things and install
them, strip the body and redo the body work and repaint, and
be willing to pay the asking price of 14000, you
might be on your way to having a real nice show truck.
Also, in defense of that price, you would probably
end up putting in about $8000 to mechanicaly redo
a truck like this one anyway. If you have any questions
about things I didnt mention, post a message for me.
