Greetings from sunny (-15F) Alaska. I would like to find an appropriate vehicle for my family's use as well as for field deployments with my military reserve organization. Please write if you can help me, or feel free to forward this on to the appropriate person or Web Site.
I am looking for a 4WD van or personnel transport truck or other similar vehicle (ambulance?) with passenger windows and at least three rows of seats (including the driver's row.) We have several small children. so the vehicle needs to be tall enough for a front seat passenger (i.e. my wife) to get up and go back to the last row to resolve any enroute disputes!
We live in steep and icy terrain, and it gets quite cold in winter, so we really need 4WD and serious interior heat (multiple units or a gasoline combustion heater would be just the ticket.)
I'm looking for a complete, nice-looking, and reliable vehicle that's ready for daily usage. No projects, please. (I built a '59 VW Double Cab over a two year period. It turned out great. but I'd rather not get into that again!) Thank you very much for your assistance with my family vehicle search.
