It can be done, although it may end up sort of awkward looking. With a little creativity, you can get it mounted without having it project too far out in front of the truck. Aside from the looks, I understand that the MU-2 is heavier than the LU-2, so if you do it you might want to slip an extra leaf in each front spring.
I mounted my MU-2 on my first M37 with minimal harm to the frame rails; I had to drill a couple of holes, but that was it. I'm probably going to mount it again on my current truck, since it's the only winch I've got.
