Alright. I'm continuing FAS instructions...

57's are different at the core support intake
than later years, and here's how. From where
it connects the firewall to the core support
for fresh air delivery, it uses a LARGE flexible
tube(similiar to interior heater ducting tube, only
much larger) and both the core support end
and the firewall end are round (obviosly) so they
will fit the flexible tube, but where the flange
on the core support end of intake connects,
it is ROUND on a 57 and it is METAL on a 57..
the hole on the core support on a 57 is round..
The hole on a 58-60 truck and 58-66 town wagon/panels is RECTANGULAR and it is
made out of PLASTIC(and almost always they are cracked and need a little TLC. That is why
YOU MUST FIND A DONOR 57 truck or panel
and remove ALL the CORE SOPPORT hardware(which is the intake only and some screws) the firewall apparatus is interchangeble
. Brent, I know where they're are a treasure trove of 57's in Arizona at a yard, and 3 of them
have the complete fresh air system, they're used
to be 4, but I took one of them for my 57.....
Please feel free to direct any tech questions
to me you want...........sincerely Marc Minarik
