I would go with the larger capacity trailer. My truck weighs 5,600. The first time that I hauled it I used a factory built trailer that was rated at 7,500 lbs. It was the kind that uses an angle iron frame and an upper angle iron rail for additional strength. Top speed with that trailer and truck was about 45MPH. When I turned a corner it looked like each of the tandem wheels was trying to lean in a different direction.

The next trip was with a 10,000 GVW trailer. No problem! At 65MPH it towed just great. Suggestions: Check tire pressure in tow truck and trailer, check the trailer brakes - adjust brake unit for unloaded / loaded setting, be sure that you have the proper tie down equipment to secure the PW on the trailer, trailer spare tire, and I like to support the tail end of the trailer frame with a hyd jack while loading. I just trailered 2 more PWs home last week (one at a time) with no problems. Good Luck!
