Hi, the idea of checking the hole edges in the piston is good it will tell alot, also compare the plugs for
color and damage and the valves.If the the #3 plug was loose in the head and if you were playing in the local
water hole or stream, water may have worked it's way into the cylinder. The water will also lean out the mixture.
