I am replacing the windshield gasket on my '56. I'm having trouble getting it to seal the top corners well. Better thant the cracked gasket that was there, but still too much water comes through. Any ideas? The gasket is from VPW.

Exact model ID? I think its a C3 or C4 that was originally a FD brush truck. May be something completely different though. Has side opening hood with PW embloms on sides. It seems to have a 251 and 5.83's. 9.00x16 tires and loads of springs in the rear. Second set of leaves on top that only contact mounts under load. Also has a double thick frame. S/N 83955620 doesn't exactly match the list here for any year. According to FD, it was a NJ forest service truck until 1970. NJ title lists as 10,000 GVW.

Thanks to all for help and Joe for page.

Dave
