: HELP!
: I am in the process of bringing a '53 M-37 back to life.
: I need advice as to what kind of tires will fit the 16" split rims.
: Getting custom rims to fit newer tubeless tires is out of my budget.
: I've heard that some people put tubes in tubeless tires and mount them (ie: Interco Super Swampers and Gateway Mudders).
: Is this safe? I was going to use something in the 33" to 36" range to help wind down the old six a bit at higher speeds.
: Any advice would really be appreciated!
I have the 11-16 Michelins with tubes in them. They seem to be ok the past 3 years. I wish I would have bought 2 sets when they were available.
I would probably use Buckshots now as the price is lower. I wish somebody could
come up with a 16.5 wheel that didn't cost 150 each. 37-12.50-16.5 surplus Hummer tires might be an option then.
