I have two, one with a 251 and 5.83s and another
with a 230 and 4.89s. Got about 12 MPG going from
Michigan to Iowa Rally in the 251, speed about 45-50 mph
Burned a lot of oil however! Before I changed the
gears on the 230, it got about 11 on the highway.
I have not checked it with the new 4.89s...but I
don't expect this to make a big difference.
They are fun and maybe ok for some jobs like snow
plowing...but they are not real practical for
everyday use.
