I'm finishing up the installation of a 360 V-8 in my WM300. Thanks to Dave's posting on this web site, I got clued in about using a 318 water pump, which is shorter, therefore allowing a better fit in the engine bay. I happened to a two 318 pumps sitting around my shop. One has a 6 blade impellor 3.5 inches in diameter. The other, from a W300 possibly, has an 8 blade impellor 4 inches in diameter. Wil the 8 blade unit provide better cooling? What was the original application for this, so I can order one? Any ideas will be appreciated.
