: : : I have a '75 Dodge, full-time, 3/4 ton. Last summer I swapped in a Dodge '74 part-time front axle (with full-time drive
: : : flanges from a Chevy) for the wider bearing set-up. I also in stalled a 4" lift at the same time. Now I have a rattle in the front
: : : end some where when I'm coasting faster than 40 mph (similar to a bad u-joint). I've replaced all u-joints, a slopped out yoke,
: : : the slip spline and lengthened it, and had a good drive shaft shop inspect the CV. With the lift the CV had to be clearanced
: : : with a grinder to allow for droop. I still had the rattle. I reputable mechanic inspected it for me and claimed a worn t-case,
: : : repaced it with a rebuilt unit from Boyce Equiptment and I still have a rattle. Help, no one knows where this rattle is coming
: : : from!!

: : Been having a similar, if not, all around rattle on my '65 W100 Town Wagon. These have been suggested to me & untried to date - body / chassis rubber &/or spring bushings rotted / gone, drive lines not "in phase" &/or slightly bent. Please post a fix if discovered. Thanks, JB

: John thanks for the advise but unfortunatly all of your suggestions have been checked and are not a problem. Thanks again, any one that has any thoughts on this what so ever, post them please.

Hey guys;

I have a 75 half ton full time 4wd that makes about the same sound with also a "clicking or snapping" sound which I have not checked out yet, but I think it is the left front disc brake components...Worth a try?
