: I NEED SOME GUIDANCE OR DIRECTION ON THE BEST WAY TO CHANGE OVER TO 12 VOLTS ON MY '41 WC-12. HOW DOES THE POSITIVE GROUND AFFECT THIS CONVERSION?

WC-53's and WC- 56s and 57s were 12 volt negative ground to begin with according to the manual I have. Vintage Power wagons did offer a kit for the 12 volt conversion.
If yours was set up Pos ground then you will have to swap terminals with the wires on the ammeter, switch coils- hooking the wire from the switch to the + terminal of
the 12 v coil. depending on what sending unit (2 wire or 1 wire) you have, you might have to switch places with the wires on back of the gauge. A resistor is needed in the
hot wire going to the gauge if you use the 6 v unit. 3/4 WC's used the round S-W type of gauges making a swap to all 12 v easy. The 6 v starter seems to hold up well
using 12 v. GM type internal regulator alternators with a "one wire " conversion are easy to put on,
common and cheap (relatively). I like them anyway.
