I just acquired a '64 W200 3/4T Pickup from its 2nd owner. There appeared to have been some conversions made to it, so I tracked down the original owner in AZ to get the all the G2 I could. Among other things related was that he had always planned on converting the truck to PS by installing an "integral" power steering unit from either a '77 or '78 Ford 3/4T 4X4. He claimed that the unit could be bolted to a steel plate, with the plate welded to the frame in the general vicinity under the battery tray. He then stated that there would have to be some adjustment to the current connection to the pitman arm, but that it should be fairly obvious. The concept seems to make sense, but I sure would like to see a practical application. Has anyone out there in "wagon head" land tried this one?
