Crankcase vent on B1PW

I have traced down an engine problem on my 49 B1PW to a vaccum leak in the crank vent system. It made the engine act like it had a bad accelerator pump.

My crank vent system has some non-powerwagon parts so it is a little confusing.

There is some sort of regulating valve where the crankcase vent ties into the intake manifold that appears to be standard PW part. I cleaned it and the engine runs much better. Does anyone know how to tell if the thing is still good?

The intake for my crankcase is through the oil filter cap. I do not believe this is normal for a PW, though it is for other early dodge trucks. I believe air from the air filter is supppose to go into the crankcase, but I am not sure how or where.
