: Thanks for the input Gerry, all I can get is appreciated. I have concidered a 318 swap in the past. I concluded that the V-6 would be shorter, thus, no problems with radiator or fan clearance, or having to switch water-pumps. If I were into some serious mud-bogging, the power concideration would be a major factor, and like-wise, I would want a V-8. Thanks!

One thing you have to consider. Chrysler engineered the 360 to be a Van and heavy duty pickup engine.
Most V-6's are considered to be medium duty for autos and some van work in
minivans especially. Its not the horsepower that matters but how hard can you push an engine before it
gives up the ghost.

Most newer V-6's just werent made for heavy duty
work. I know the Dodge 360. I have one in my 84 Ram Van.

Its got 75,000 hard miles on it and is as solid as the day it was made. Compression is still 95% of original.
