Message:   Gary,
I don't know exactly how the tunnel was done in
the pic that Soopernaut posted but you could actually
buy the standard Mr. Gasket shifter boot at your
local parts store. It comes with the metal plate that
can be easily "bent" to the contour of the edge of
your tunnel.... I don't even think you'd have to mess
with fabricating a tunnel extension. . Just cut a
hole in the appropriate spot, mount the plate/boot
and you're all set.
