Message:   My posts were intended to give a big picture view of these LU2-SL winches. I have had one for 17 years, therefore kept in touch with market values. I just sold mine for $500 which was one heck of a good deal!

On the one hand it's nice to show that one may occassionally stumble on a rip tear good deal, or like in AZ where I never could use my winch as Ocotillo and Joshua couldn't quite hold up to a tug strap...but the REAL market price is more in the $1,200-$1,500 category. I just gave away an $1,800 - $2,000 chainsaw collection. Therefore collectable chainsaws aren't worth anything? No, just that everything is based on right/wrong place at right/wrong time!

Not trying to be a jerk but to keep things in a real world prespective. Again, do a web search on these units: zero, none. Very few if any Dodge trucks came with a winch as standard equipment except for military and even then it was on an as-ordered basis.
