Subject:   Help - broken dash mount shift cable

Message:   Cable was working fine, until it started going between neutral and drive only, thankfully I guess or else it would have stranded me. It seems stuck or 'frozen', just seized up for no reason. The cable is straight, and will not move. I don't like it when things break for no apparent reason. The only thing that may have happened is the cable rubbed against the header for a bit. the outer rubber melted, but there's no burn marks on the outer steel cable, so I'm pretty sure it didn't fuse them together. Any solutions to a stuck cable? I was thinking of some kind of come-along setup to force the cable, but it would probably break. Failing any fix, I'll need another one so does anyone have one for sale or know a company that makes something similar? I just need the cable, I already have two of the lever assemblies, and now two broken cables.
Thanks,
Rick
