I think your experiences have left you bitter.
Life is what you make from it.
I've been ripped off for millions, I've lost everything, lost my family, laid off 50 employees, lost my business, lost my home.
Some of it was beyond my control, some of it wasn't.
I could sit and stew and blame everyone but me, or I could get back on the horse and start over.
What you do with what you are dealt is your responsibility, what I achieve or fail to achieve is my responsibility, not the oil companies, not greedy crooks, not politicians.
What I can do and not do is my destiny and mine alone, regardless of birth status, race or education.
Intelligence and education or social status do not determine our fate, our ability to preserver and recognize opportunity determines our fate.
We all do indeed have opportunities in life, our failure to recognize them is what holds us back, not the misdeeds of others.
To sit and stew about what might have been is pointless, to struggle and gain and achieve, that is what drives men to achieve and prosper... |
