Message:   maybe they didn't know the HP rating?

i know in the earlier trucks there were two versions of both the 225 and poly 318 and both carried a SERT sticker and/or were designated as "SPECIAL" on the dataplate. the SERT number for those engine is similar to the 426 engine but is an "older" or earlier number. without a SERT sheet to explain what it means it is simply a shot in the dark to determine what they are...

anyway, back to the subject at hand: the all zero designation has always perplexed me as it does not follow any logical explanation or typical ways that Dodge would handle a special engine. none of the all zero trucks have a SERT number to back up any claim of a special engine and dodge would normally show "SPECIAL" or "SPEC" or even "365 3900" on one particular truck... but at least those are consistent on the 426 trucks...

maybe warren truck plant didn't know the HP rating for the 383s and stamped them all zero.

i wonder if the SO Number is the same on all those trucks... i have never seen a duplicate Sales Order Number on any truck...

a bunch of zeros. one more thing for me to keep track of - damn dodge trucks, gotta love 'em :o)
