Message:   I came up with the fender idea when I was restoring my TW by accident. I used a fender that was beyond repairing but had a good lip. I don't doubt you can do it the way you plan but having done 7 fenders this way it's the only way I'd do it. I wouldn't worry about finding fenders that might go to the next guy since they are out there to be had. Are your inner panels gone too? As for being highly skilled, I'm mostly self taught and have only taken one bodyshop class. I am a student of the College of Hard Knocks as most of us are, I just wish graduation would get here LOL. Take a look at my way and study it I can mail you a copy of an article I wrote for the PWA a few years ago that gives detailed instructions on the process. Oh and Jill is prettier than the picture and just as sweet. You have to love a woman who drives here own Townie.
