Message:   My book says 3/36 for Cummins...AFTER the factory warranty expires, I bought during that 7/100,000 mile warranty period in 2002, on both the Ram and the Liberty...= )
Yes the new replacement pump is a kit that goes in the tank, I think it's the H.O. pump from 2004 and newer.
Electric fuel pumps are designed to push, not pull, so it should have been close to the tank in the first place, not on the motor where they tend to get vibrated apart.
