Message:   jimmi makes a good point. good luck finding a shop that will do it though. with all the sue happy people in the world, its hard to get a temporary fix any more. did the knurling on a chitty i had, was still going strong after 50k miles with only the slightest hint of smoke at start up. but a lot of it depends on whether the wear is in the valve stem or the guide or both. if your valve stem is worn, and you knurl the guide, it wont last long at all.
