Message:   cant help on the valve stuff, but i do believe any decent machine shop can replace the valve guides. as far as getting the dampener off. i wedged a chunk of 2x4 between the fly wheel and bell housing to keep the crank still. then my 1/2" impact took it off. its gonna play hell with you unless you get that crank held still.
