Message:   Greetings all!

Making good progress on the Townies.

What is the spec for lateral play on valve stems? Mine seem pretty loose, and it seems that the guides are not replaceable. I haven't measured mine yet, but I'm thinking 5 - 6 thou.

My current valve spring tool isn't sufficient for the canted valve. Anybody have a source for the pry-type tools I've seen? I want to go in and clean up the ports before I send it out for a valve job.

Also having a time with the harmonic balancer bolt - my 1/2" impact wrench didn't touch it, nor did a 4' cheater - I'm having a tough time holding the block still.

Dave
