Message:   I forgot to mention in the above posting, that the first Dodge Brothers car was produced on November 14,1914 in the Dodge Brothers factory in Hamtramck.
One of the reasons that the Dodge Brothers built their car was to prove to Henry Ford who was adamantly opposed to any change in the Model T Ford car which they had built many parts for, was obsolete and that a better car was possible. John Dodge had said when asked why He and Horace were building a car
was "think of all the ford owners who will someday want to own an automobile"
At one time the Dodge Brothers owned 10% of the stock in the Ford Motor Company. I wonder what that would be worth in today's $$ ?
sorry to ramble on but Dodge history is a passion of mine! DB69 comes from a combination of the Dodge Brothers, and my 1969 D100.
