Message:   John, my truck has a NP205, which is divorced too. It's the same size as the others, I think. My truck is an automatic, so maybe the original cable for a four speed is shorter than an automatic cable. Also, my transfer case has a box that screws on to the transfer case where the cable goes, and the cable screws into that. It gives me about an extra two inches of length. I think the speedo gears are in it, maybe for ease of changing them to match to tire size or rear end ratio. Although I did use most of the slack, my cable is not binding or pulled too tight. Maybe D automatic trucks used the same cable as W's.
