Message:   On the plus side of doing the conversio: you can do it a little at a time. The T-case can be installed and used to give a splitter for rear gears. Then front axle can be installed later, and driveshafts etc. as time and money permits. Best to have a donor truck though, and it is a lot of work....

Maybe just pick up a beater 4WD and use it as is, thrash the daylights out of it and not worry about punding up your good truck? Just a thought....
