Message:   The brilliant folks at E.P.A. came up with ventilated fuel tank requirements. There are new part numbers for these tanks/systems/gas caps...both D & W models. It is caled E.C.S. Emissions Control System...or something like that! The tank is vented thru the right rear cab pillar...upwards! I believe that it just dead-ends up in that pillar..somewhere.

Look at the under-side of your new cap...it should have the plastic vent in it...older models are just a gasket.
