Message:   I agree, also from what I've seen most brochures that have pictures, those pictures are not the way the trucks are built.....colors, etc.
The only thing in my opinion that you could take to the bank is whats listed in your parts manuals, but thats not to say that the assembly line personnel didn't throw in or on parts they weren't supposed too.

I would say like Patrick, ya the holes are for 383 AC equipped trucks. If you don't have them and the truck is original and unmalested you may have a truck that was built on a Monday morning before coffee break
Just look at the issue of engine colors for trucks, they should be standardized like the passenger cars, but for some unknown reason the truck rolled off the lines with different colored engines for some unknown reason......
