Message:   Thanks Jeff. What manual for what year and which steering box?

There is a bolt at the cross shaft cover plate that you remove for checking lubricant level on Saginaw truck Rec. Ball gearboxes. You remove the top plug and fill with 85W-90 til lube comes out that hole. That doesn't work with grease, either filling through the large filler plug at top or checking level through inspection bolt.

I can hardly steer my truck with this grease in it. Steers like it's supposed to with 85W-90 gearbox oil in it.
