Subject:   1971 front valence cooling holes

Message:   I'm going to do some research here on these cooling holes, located below the grille. What I need from you guys with these holes in your truck to provide the following information:

1. Build date. It's on the sticker on the hinge post.

2. Plant where your truck was built. If you don't know, provide the VIN.

3. ORIGINAL engine and[/i] transmission.

4. Options, such as air conditioning, gearing, transmission cooler, power steering, high-altitude or California emissions, or anything else you can think of.

5. Model and body style (D-100 long wide bed, for example).

6. PICTURE OF THE FRONT OF YOUR TRUCK! I think the D-300 trucks all had the holes, regardless, so if you have a D-300, you can send your info, as well. I must have a picture to verify!

7. Any other year of truck that has the same holes, let me know the same info about yours, as well. If this is indeed a '71-only deal, chances are your truck may have had collision damage repaired with a '71 valence with the holes.

8. If you know your truck has been repaired in the front during its' life, SAY SO!

Any other info you can provide will be very helpful in researching this little project. Thanks!
