Message:   I am experiencing a hang-on in my 66 slant 3 speed. I know I am close on not having enough
freeplay. But that should help my problem not hinder it, TRUE ONLY, IF IT WERE
MECHANICAL.!!! Not necessarily true with hydraulics failing slightly.

Symptoms : Just a few minutes ago I was backing up and pulling a fairly lightweight tandem
trailer through a friction of sand. Backing up pulling the trailer with rope. So,..I step in the clutch
to move the lever from reverse to low gear. It will not pull out (three on the tree) of reverse. Still
"rope friction" due to the wheels of both vehicles being in loose sand.

I had a gut feel of what is going on, so I shut the engine off. Kinda figured it would come free. It
did.!! That has happened a few times before. Sort of a fun one to think about eh? Gordo
