Message:   Thanks to all who responded to my search for original door mounted mirrors for my 1971 W200 Sweptline Powerwagen. I do not really know the details of the materials for the mirrors or of the design and construction for this model year. However, looking at the 2005 Sweptline Era calendar, the mirror on "Floorguy's" beautiful 1971 D100 featured for July, I would guess that this mirror would be the same for the W200 Powerwagen. It looks like he has two mirrors (driver side is rectangular), but I can not tell if they are identical. Also, it looks like the mirror on "Powwag's" 1967 D200 featured for the month of April, and on "Farmhand66css's" 1966 D100 are identical to "Floorguy's mirrors. My W200 is featured also for the month of November. (It has two semi tractor-trailer mirrors which I'm sure are not original. I'm the second owner of the truck. I have the name of the original owner and may look him up but after 35 years, who knows). I noticed that the driver side door has three big phillips screws or bolts where the mirror should be, and further, no holes screws, or bolts, appear on the passenger side door where they would be if the mirror had been original equipment. If anybody knows where I can acquire the original mirror or mirrors, please let me know. Thanks.
