That's what I thought initially also, but keep in mind that the fuel economy is 60% better* than the gas motor it replaces while delivering MORE HP and torque.
ALSO it meets the 2009 emmissions regulations, something that almost no diesel, including the 5.9, does right now. In fact diesels cannot be sold currently in 5 states that adopted the CA regulations.
Look for the aftermarket to be all over this motor with boosted torque and economy.

* that's a huge $$$ savings on your monthly fuel bill. About a $1.40 a gallon over the current fuel costs.
