Message:   Gary, before you remove the entire system, check that the temperature is getting up to normal operating range. If not, that might be the reason for the bad gas mileage. I've never had a car with a lean-burn system but I think it's a lot like the system that is on my 87 Fifth Avenue. Does it have an oxygen sensor? If that is bad it can also cause bad performance and low gas mileage.
