Message:   The perforated side goes towards the manifold. Also on 413s and 440 they DID have gaskets from the factory (not sure on 383s). The best ones come from the dealer, you must ask for the correct ones for the application. Trucks and Motor Homes have a special type of heavy duty gaskets. It is recommended that you have your manifolds machined before installation. The best sealer for this job is called Walker Accusti-seal, or NAPA makes an exhaust sealer that is the same as the walker stuff.
