Message:   I bought this D300 truck without the engine. My existing truck (which you have seen) the green 50.00 73 400 will be the recipient of this 383-440 D300 tranny.

Anyways to be safe as I pointed out (perhaps improperly) earlier I will leave the existing torque converter that is with my 400 and bolt up the new one.

No chance of a mishap balance job that way. By the way I did drive the 73 D100 (forward only) and it is smooth and shifts tight. (no reverse) Nice truck for 50.00 LOL Gordo
