Message:   GORDO, just because that 440 is in a 1969 truck does not mean it is a 1969 engine. Check the casting date on the block and the alpha date code stamped into the flat I.D. pad located front of block. E=1969.

Have you test driven this 440 in the 1969 truck? If not, how do you know for sure that it is not already vibrating from a previous, improper installation? You could have a late model engine with the wrong torque converter on it. OR it could be OK.
