Message:   i was scrolling down a and read the rest of the post from my bad battery question and it seems i need to give some more info. i'm getting a negitive output on my amp guage on my 65 cc. at idle and even more at high rpm's this truck has never been on the road since i put it together.over the weekend i put a new battery in it and it did'nt change anything other than my gas and temp guage started moving up untill it could'nt go any further. i tried pulling the ground off the battery and it did'nt die so it's charging like terry said. i shut it off and let sit for a while and the gas and temp guage stayed normal. i'v replaced the amp guage to no avail. i bought this wirering harness from young matt from a truck he had and it was in real nice shape no cuts or splices. so i don't think it the wiring. i know it's hooked up right on the back of the amp guage. so i'm wondering now if it's a ground proble or could it be in the ign. or light switch??? i know nothing about electrical except don't be holden a toaster in the shower the parts store guy told me to bring in my alt. and have it tested, said it could have a bad diode. i would really like to figure this thing out, i sure would want to burn something up. Dodgeum..
