i think most of you know I finally got the W200 back on the road. Norm is gonna post a pix for me,cos i'm to dumb to do it.
Heres the problem The truck is backfing up thru the carb when i try to start it ,once its running it's fine. What i need to know with out to much techie stuff is what is the timing supposed to be? Iv looked thru the book and from what I can figure out the recommended timing can be anything from 2degees before TDC to 15 after!
Heres what i have a 4 barrel Edlebrock on an Edelbrock performer manifold with an RV cam and standard electronic ignition also very leaky headers.I did have the details on the cam but cannot find it. So is there a way of working this out and getting a setting or is it trial and error?
Also there used to be a product that was dash mounted and let you adjust your timing on the move for various towing configurations.
Any thoughts.
Cheers Chaps
John
