Message:   Thanks, this truck had no emergency brake and was set up to run without the transfer case when i got it, the transfercase is still in the bed, i think the d series tranny can work if one removes the brake drum ad puts on the ujoint yoke from a w transmission? Then run the emergency brake off the back of the tranfer case like it suposed to be in the first place, no wonder somebody cut the driveshaft and rewelded it. My trucks are not here for me to look at is why i am asking for help.
W series, emergency brake off of t/f case
D series, emergency brake off of transmission
Prays i can remove the emergency brake drum off of the d series 4 speed i found and install the correct u joint yoke from a W series 4 speed. Gees!!! I got to hunt thru the stuff in the bed to see if i have a correct yoke.
