Message:   Robin and I were discussing this down below, in regards to flat tappets.
ALL oil changed their formula by law, so Rotella T no longer has any advantage over other oils. The removal of zinc and phosphates was EPA directed so there is no "magic" oil.
I've been using Marvel Mystery Oil to replace any lost lubricity in both my diesel and flat tappet gassers.
Still researching what could be better for flat tappet use.
AND, NO aftermarket cam manufacturer, recommends the use of synthetics, such as Amsoil...
