Message:   I heard this from a guy who has been recapping tires and building custom wheels since the 60's. Use a wheel 2 inches narrower than the tire u are running for the best wear and traction. I have put wider tires on skinny wheel but dont like it, if u can find the Michelin website with the military xl family of tires i think it used to show what size wheels were needed to run these military high ply radials, i think they are 12 ply or 10. I have lost the link, seems like the xl spec site is only on european or candian Michelin websites?? I am getting 10 wheels thursday (yea rite, xmass freightlol), will post up when they get here and i get them mounted, post a date when u are coming thru with your crewcab, I am headed up to ABQ NM to pick up a truck next week.I have 43 foot trailer empty going up with a winch for dead trucks.
