Your motor is most likely a series-2 or -3.
If you look at the serial number you will find 318-2 or 318-3 in the number, either at the beginning or the end of the number,
Series 2 and 3 Polys had hydraulic lifters. The motor was considered to be the premium Poly, built for longevity and power.
Perfectly normal...
