Message:   A Large group order for power steering kits consists of about 15-20 orders.
I'd need at least 50 orders to get the cost under $1,000 per unit.
Group orders don't work unless you have a BIG group. I'm selling the DTA headers for $100 less than the TTI headers, still no orders, but TTI did drop their price after the DTA headers came out...= )
The biggest problem with Sweptlines is that there aren't enough owners willing to pay for the parts. Sure we're passionate, but we lack enough buying to power to attract the aftermarket.
I'm sitting on a pile of headers, can't move them, can't sell them at a loss. I've offered to make the steering kits, can't get enough interest to make a commitment for the 10's of thousands of dollars that it will take to get it done.
Vintage Power Wagon has sheet metal for our trucks, they sell a few, get high praise for their parts, but they also get a lot a complaints over the prices.
Companies selling intakes have stopped, not enough demand, companies selling rubber parts are having a hard time moving the inventory.
When you see a Sweptline parts provider, patronize them, they may not be around for very long.
