Message:   Ive had one on my 62 W300 for 21 yrs. It NEVER sloshes. They constantly wash down the filter fibers and recoat them with oil. Dirt sticks to the oil as the air flows thru the fibers. Empy out the housing and u will find a thick layer of dirt that has settled to the bottom of the oil pool. I think they are the best thing since sliced bread - filter is always clean, max air flow, extremely low maintenance.
btw - an air filter element that restricts airflow at all is no different than a choke plate on the carb - it sucks gas out of the carb and wastes gas.
