Message:   66 trucks had hydrolic clutch with top load trannys while most cars have mechanical linkage clutch with side linkage trannys. There would be a lot of fabrication to make a car tranny with mech. clutch work but there are people on this site who have done it. Be careful of taking away the gear on your slant six. If you are going to pull anything, you will miss that gear. I also wouldnt go any more than a 3:55 ratio. Thats what my six had. I did pull a car once in a while with it and it handled it, but you sure went slow up hills.
